Shiatsu, un praticien de shiatsu traditionnel dans Paris 10e

Based on the principles of Chinese medicine, Shiatsu regulates the energy flow predominantly by thumb, fingers and palm pressure exercised throughout the meridians of acupuncture. Shiatsu is literally « finger-pressure ».

In Japan, since 1955, Shiatsu is recognised by the Ministry of health and Well Being. The Ministry has defined it as correcting internal dysfunction and to improve and protect health.

Shiatsu activates our natural capacity to heal oneself by stimulating the immune system. It improves the suppleness of muscle tissue, harmonises the body and mind and brings about a deep relaxation.

Shiatsu is one of the eight alternative approaches recognised by the European Parliament in the decision A4-0075/97 (Report Collins-Lannoye of May 29, 1997 Brussels) in the capacity of « non-conventional medicine worthy of interest » in the same way, among others, as traditional Chinese medicine (including acupuncture), osteopathy and homeopathy.
